I actually don't know the song for this form (we never used those coming up, just personal notes), nor much about the origins of the form, so those would be good discussions points as well. For us, it could be taught anywhere from the 6 month mark to the 3 year mark, depending on the instructor's preference. I learned it the latter way, and it took a lot of work to try to make it both flowing and powerful for me - I think that GM Wang used to call on me for that form all the time so I'd put extra work into it and get to the next level with it.
